Hey Y'all!

Praying everyone is safe and using their time wisely during this quarantine. I've been using this time to adjust my focus and do a little goal setting.

As a little girl, my mom would always tell me that things look better when you step back to look at them. We would go to museums and I would stand really close to the exhibits and my mom would say, "Step back, Kat. It looks different when you step back." I would step back to get a better view. She was right. It looked different. She would put lights on the Christmas tree and turn off all of the lights throughout the house and would tell us to step back and look at the tree. She was right again. When everything else was made dark and I stepped back, I COULD SEE IT PERFECTLY. I could see the beauty and the imperfections.

MY MOTHER PREPARED ME FOR QUIET SEASONS AND A QUARANTINE UNKNOWINGLY.

I've used this time to allow my mind to slow down as I tune out everything around me and focus on what's important. I've been able to get a better view of things just by embracing this stay at home order. Stepping back and not "being in the mix" is one of the best ways to problem solve; it allows you to see the whole picture. I encourage you all to set some time aside for assessment while we are on this quarantine. Now is the best time to set and reassess goals. Click the Quick Goals link above for a very simple and effective goal setting tool.
