I’m sure you’ve heard about WAPs over the last few days but let’s dish on an equally provocative meaning of this acronym….. If you don’t like a good juicy story, I'd suggest you stop reading here.

I’ll never forget the day that it happened. After brunch and shopping, we came back to my place. Things started moving fast. For years, I knew that I should resist the temptation but it was just too much pressure that day. There was something in the air or maybe the spirit of Eve just fell over me and I just had to taste the fruit. I usually steered clear of it but I just had to have it and it was in my reach. Something inside of me knew it was the wrong thing to do but it was too late. I must confess…I didn’t know what I was doing and used both hands to fill my mouth…I finally had the real thing in my hands….Then it happened. My tongue and throat had the warmest sensation and my whole body started to tingle. I couldn’t swallow. I sat there embarrassed while juice ran down my face.

I was having an allergic reaction….to strawberries.

The strawberry is a good metaphor for our desires. Sometimes we desire things that are good but not good for us….beautiful dream killers. We indulge in things that are positive but in no way connected to our purpose and they take us off course. These things distract us from our purpose. In life, we are presented with so many good things but the key to success is finding your good thing. Your good thing is connected to your purpose.

As you go through the week, try to find your good thing and get “Wild About Purpose”. If you need help with goal setting, feel free to click the Quick Goals link above and download the simple worksheet. This week I am offering a limited number of free 30 minute Plan in a Pandemic sessions. If you need help creating a plan to get you closer to your goals, complete the contact form and put Plan in a Pandemic in the subject line and I’ll be sure to follow up with you.

Thanks for reading,

Helen

What a great read!! We get so entangled in what makes us feel good knowing that it isn't good for us. Once you find your purpose in life, you no longer do what makes you feel good.
